The 1960's and 70's represented a new era in America and an openess to Eastern Religions.  This was the time for Hara Krisna, Buddhism, Hinduism and even the moonies from Korea. Many foriegn religions were branded as cults and developed a bad name in America.  The NSA or Nichiren Shoshu of America Buddhist took hold in America.  The NSA later because the SGI and Nichiren Shoshu Temple broke off to become different Buddhist sects. The new age religious movement in America died.  Those whom you see in this picture was in their 20's and 30's and most are now Grand fathers and Grand Mothers and young religious people uniformed this way is a past era.
